Mike Rose Resolutions 

How do these wrap back to Lewis Black’s thoughts? The problem with Black’s video is that it only showed the bad, not one good school was shown, and they aren’t all bad. Looking back I know my high school was a good one, from my point of view anyway. Black is a comedian, though what he showed was true, it was negative and meant to make fun of the education system. Mike Rose’s resolutions are well thought out, positive changes to make that could actually benefit everyone. Instead of saying all the ways the education system is messed up, he writes good suggestions that are realistic in order to fix the problem. This is a quality not often found in our current society. I think Freire would support Rose’s resolutions. Though Freire seems against our current schooling process, Rose’s ideas do not encourage the “banking concept.” I do not understand education differently. If you think of our society, you might realize that the school system is not the only problem. Americans as a whole are lazy and will find the easiest way to accomplish a task. With that kind of attitude ruling the majority, it;s no wonder our schools are sub par.
