WS Sect 28-30

I find it a little funny that we are to write a blog post about writing. The information in section 28-30 of “Writing Simplified” is an excellent compilation of guidelines and instructions for any student, especially a student who has not written a formal essay before. The information in the text book is well written and easy to understand, (no surprise from an english book) it is compiled in a way that it served as an excellent refresher for myself since this type of writing has not been required of me since AP English back in 2005. I find that I am a bit rusty in the ways of formal writing. Section 28 and and 29 mostly stated the obvious, good to look at, but not really any new information. Section 30 is review as well but it has been even longer since I have thought about an outline. An outline is probably what I am going to need in order to construct paper #2 since the topic is structured, but has a lot of space for interpretation. Overall, the assigned reading was worthwhile to take a brief look at and refresh a few ideas that people do not generally think about.
